PostSubject: Where are you on the political compass?   Mon Apr 02, 2012 6:00 am

There isn't enough opinions here so lets start

Left , libertarian. Democrat, rebublican as in I think australia should not be a part of the commonwealth and be a republic with our own president etc.
Pro marriage equality, want to bridge the gap between ind
igenous and non indigenous australians, I don't want to stop the boats, and I believe in climate change. I also think that people should be able to practise their faith so long as they don't use their faith to discriminate or hurt anyone. And nd all the way ......

Recently concluded that our system does need a drastic overhaul, here. Get rid of parties, just have individual MPs voting for things, basically. Twisted Evil

Like Butterfly only more capitialistic/mogul-esque/libertarian. I think federalism and replucianism (NOT to be confused with the American political party) are showing definite signs of resurgence and relevance in today's political world, where such inane concepts as "interventionalism" and "imperialism" demonstrate just how perfectly they fail modern civilization on multiple 'fronts'. One such front is the "budgetary" concern. Isolationism tends to be much more friendly on one's budget and/or wallet.

Another important stand of mine is nativism -a nation just can't keep handing out a "free pass" on who gets to take up permanent residence and welfare benefits in one's homeland(s). People are starving or dieing of illness somewhere in the world? LOL. When has that never been the case? When will that cease being the case?

The final issue is fiscal conservatism, and a legislature-governed budget. My nation is in 16 TRILLION dollars worth of debt. Some of it went to stupid, pointless wars yes, but not all of it. Where the f*ck did the rest of it go?

Oh, OK. Some welfare's good (since I'm on benefits, I can't be against them) & that has to mean taxes. Don't know what more anybody else wants to say or to know about each other's politics! Cool

You need to add 'deliberately' to that! What's that got to do with your political beliefs, though?
